* Minors of concentration are optional and 12 credit hours are required for its completion.
** Students who minor in Pastoral Ministries will exceed the normal 120 credit hours.

Academic Divisions

There are three academic divisions at Carver, each contributing to the achievement of the college’s mission by fulfilling specific goals. The three academic divisions at Carver are:

The Division of Biblical and Theological Studies 
The Division of Professional Studies
The Division of General Studies

Students are required to complete a designated number of credit hours of study in each division to graduate with a degree in Biblical Studies.

Dr. Sujaya T. James serves as Carver’s Vice President of Academic Affairs. He also serves as the Director of Biblical and Theological Studies. 

Dr. James holds a Doctor of Philosophy in New Testament Studies, and a Master of Sacred Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. In addition, he holds a Master of Theology from Grand Rapids Baptist Seminary, a Master of Divinity, and Bachelor of Theology from London Baptist Seminary, a Diploma in General Bible Knowledge from the New Brunswick Bible Institute and a Bachelor of Science from Bangalore University.
